In 2021, Imran Hossain Imu, a passionate journey photographer, embarked on a journey to Baghaichari in Khagrachari. He was driven by his eagerness to capture the essence of a pageant celebrated by the Chakma ethnic minority community.

Nonetheless, on arrival, Imran observed a restriction on those coming from exterior the group and photographing the individuals. On 1 August 2023, the exhibition was inaugurated in the auditorium of gallery variety six and 7 of Jatiya Chitrashala Bhaban of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

‘Bhromon Konna,’ started in 2016 by Dr Manoshi Saha and Dr Sakia Haque, is Bangladesh’s main women’s journey organisation. It empowers Bangladeshi ladies to discover new horizons through secure and supportive travel. With 85,000 members, it pioneers woman journeys and shares inspiring tales of courageous females travellers with the world.

“I have been very intrigued in travelling considering that my childhood. The vacation tales I used to examine in guides produced me wish I could pay a visit to these sites. But the safety of women in our region even though travelling is fairly difficult. That’s why our loved ones did not permit us go on excursions out of worry. 

We created ‘Bhromon Konna’ with the aim that no other lady has to face the exact same problems that my pals and I confronted just before travelling or while travelling,” Dr Manoshi Saha, 1 of the co-founders of Bhromon Konna, instructed The Business Normal.
